Zoom In

When an official from The Lott called to confirm the win, the Mackay woman said, “I’m still in a little disbelief!”
She recalled: “Amazingly enough, I was sitting at home watching television when my friend called and told me there was a mystery Lucky Lotteries winner in our area. She asked where I usually buy my tickets and said she had a gut feeling that I might be the winner. I told her, ‘It can’t be me. No way!’”

Encouraged to check her tickets, she visited her local outlet: “They had the winning numbers on the counter and, lo and behold, they matched my ticket. We scanned the ticket to be sure, and I just went into shock. The outlet owner was pointing at me, jumping up and down, shouting, ‘You’re the winner! You’re the $100,000 winner!’ I was standing across from him in disbelief. It’s like my entire world froze for a minute. I couldn’t fall asleep that night because I was still in shock.”

She now looks forward to ticking off her to-do list: “There’s lots of house maintenance to do. I need a new kitchen and a fresh coat of paint around the place. It’s slowly starting to feel real now.”

Zoom Out

Nightowl Slade Point manager Anoop Kumar said, “We were all so happy to hear the news that we had sold a 1st Prize winning entry and helped change a customer’s life. Our local customers are over the moon to hear we’ve sold a major lottery prize. This marks our fifth biggest winning ticket here at Nightowl Slade Point within the last five years. The last time we sold a major prize-winning entry was back in September 2024, so it feels like we were due for a big win. Congratulations to our winner! We hope you enjoy your prize and spend wisely.”
