Two businesses at Caneland Central in Mackay have completed significant upgrades. Silk Laser has expanded into larger premises, while Shaver Shop has undergone a full refurbishment.
Caneland Central owners Sentinel Property Group announced the Silk Laser expansion through leasing executive Tim McDonnell. Now located in the shopping centre’s west wing near Target, the clinic has also renewed its long-term lease.

Silk Laser has operated at Caneland Central for a long time and has also renewed its long-term lease.
“Silk Laser has been in the centre for a long time and the store expansion, and their renewed long-term lease confirms the support this national brand has for the region, and we’re very happy to continue our valued partnership,” Caneland Central centre manager Mark Farquhar said.
In addition, Silk Laser Mackay provides non-invasive skin treatments for customers.

Meanwhile, Shaver Shop’s tenancy is located between Rebel Sport and Optus. It is also one of the first regional locations to receive the retailer’s new fit-out.

“As one of the first regional locations to receive the new fit-out, the store reflects a concept that has already proven highly successful and is helping attract a younger customer demographic,” Mr Farquhar said.
Meanwhile, Silk Laser has moved into larger premises in the west wing near Target and renewed its long-term lease.

Caneland Central is the only regional-scale shopping centre in the Mackay region. Myer, Woolworths, Coles, Target and Big W anchor the centre.
In addition, the shopping centre includes eight mini-majors, 161 specialties and 21 kiosks.
