What’s happening?
After some production delays, Mackay and Sarina will launch Sleepbus services in 2025, providing much-needed shelter for the homeless.
Why it Matters?
The Sleepbus initiative will offer secure overnight accommodation, especially addressing the needs of homeless women through a dedicated bus.
By the Numbers
Three buses will serve Mackay and Sarina, including a pink Sleepbus for women.
Each bus will offer safe sleep pods for up to 20 people, and the project has raised $100,000 per bus.
