Police from Mackay Northern Beaches Police Station observed three motorcycles allegedly travelling next to each other at high speed on Mackay Bucasia Road at Mount Pleasant.
Officers, who were on mobile speed enforcement patrols, later saw the same motorcycles stopped at the lights at Mackay Bucasia Road and Phillip Street. Police will allege the motorcycles accelerated at the same speed before being clocked at 117 km/h in a 60 km/h zone.
A 32 year old West Mackay woman, a 28 year old West Mackay man and a 23 year old Sarina man were each issued an infringement notice.
