What’s happening?
Caneland Central has welcomed a fresh mix of tenants, including global jewellery brand Pandora, which opened its newest concept store on November 6. The store sits in a prime corner of the centre’s jewellery precinct in Centre Court.
Centre Manager Mark Farquhar said Pandora’s arrival is part of a wave of new openings, with fashion retailer General Pants Co. making its Mackay debut with a long-term lease in the youth precinct on level one.

Why it matters
The new tenants signal a strong retail outlook for Mackay, strengthening Caneland Central’s standing as the region’s premier shopping and lifestyle hub. “We are very excited about some iconic brands and great businesses opening at Caneland Central,” Mr Farquhar said.
He added that Priceline Pharmacy has launched its first next-generation concept store opposite Coles, featuring a new design, expanded health services, and a Meditech dispensing robot for faster, more accurate prescriptions.

Local Impact
For Mackay shoppers, the new stores mean greater choice and access to leading brands without leaving the region. The upgrades and new openings also create more local jobs and attract foot traffic that benefits nearby businesses.
