What’s Happening?
English singer-songwriter Chris Jagger will launch his Australian tour at the 2027 Agnes Blues, Roots & Rock Festival in Seventeen Seventy.
Jagger, the younger brother of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, will perform on the Marquee Stage on Saturday, 20 February 2027.
He will also appear on the Discovery Stage on Sunday, 21 February, for a session exploring his memoir and experiences in the music industry.
The festival runs from 19 to 21 February 2027 at the SES Grounds on Captain Cook Drive.
Why It Matters
Jagger has worked as a singer-songwriter, musician, author and broadcaster throughout a career spanning more than five decades.
His music draws on blues, folk, country, Cajun, zydeco, roots and world music influences.
He has released more than a dozen albums as a solo artist and with his band Atcha. His recordings have also featured collaborations with Mick Jagger, David Gilmour, Charlie Hart and members of the Rolling Stones touring band.
Local Impact
The festival returns to Queensland’s Discovery Coast after what organisers describe as a record-breaking event in 2026.
The 2027 program will feature nearly 40 live acts across two stages. Free workshops, food and beverage trucks and markets will also form part of the weekend.
A shuttle bus service will operate on a circular route around the local area, with fares costing $2 per person per ride.
Additionally, organisers say profits from the 2027 event will support local community groups and the 1770 Festival.

Jagger’s Sunday session will focus on stories from his career and his memoir, Talking To Myself, published in 2021.
The book explores his upbringing in the Jagger family, his travels and his experiences in music and the arts.

Outside his recording career, Jagger has worked as an actor, journalist and documentary producer.
