What’s Happening? The 2025 Mackay Regional Council Australia Day Awards nominees have been announced, showcasing the exceptional contributions of 102 individuals and groups. These nominees were selected from over 115 nominations received across nine categories, including a new category, the Brenden Borellini Access and Inclusion Achievement Award. Winners will be honoured at a ceremony on Saturday, January 25, 2025, at the Mackay Entertainment and Convention Centre (MECC). Why It Matters? The Australia Day Awards highlight the dedication, creativity, and service of Mackay region residents and groups who have made a positive impact on their communities.
